70 MPH+ Dixie Twister over powered custom strip boats “willardsboatworks.com”

“willardsboatworks.com the past to now..for nearly twenty years. The dixie twister never lost a race. Over 40 years of trial and error in the craftsmanship of these stripboats. Do what other boats can’t do. That is why I use the word stripboat as one word. To show that the boats are different. Like the songs says i’m not like the others, I’m not a pretender. Have all the advantage over all other boats.

  • thegameofhearts:

wb for a 9.9 that goes pretty fast cuz the boat i have now is pretty old

  • jmmills2:

should be wearing a life preserver.

  • stripboat:

@thegameofhearts These boat don’t come with a motor. I can build a boat for any kind of motor.

  • stripboat:

@hardtimesx2 That’s right it does not take a lot of power. I made a boat for a friends daughter it was 12 1/2′ by 33″. He gps it with him in the boat , 9.9 mercury and was 29 MPH

  • hardtimesx2:

Fantastic little boats !!! Looks like a little bit of power makes a whole lot of speed, Just exactly what I’m lookin’ for :-)

  • thegameofhearts:

do these boats come with a motor? they look amazing

  • stripboat:

If you would ride in one or even better drive one. You would change your mind. I have seen it happen so many times. You can not drive a stripboat like any other boat. When you drive it .That’s when you realise…what the advantage is…

  • futuremrsjordan:

really, you guys should ride in one just once. Sooo worth it!! Joe knows what he is doing! I should know , Im the ex wife and let me tell ya, I have had the time of my life in these boats and there is nothing like the wind in your hair and the speed. Being able to venture into coves that any other boat could never go in is worth it all!! Buy a boat, you won’t regret it!!!

  • levishighyo:

hay man i know for a fact that these boats are very fun to race. we went thruogh a few back in the day. i met your dad when he built them and i was a fan since i was like ten. havent been it for like 11 12 years now but your right thay are not for faint at heart!! we use to run these in lynches river with 15s on them and had a blast! just watching thi vid makes me want another one!

  • cprince843:

good ol’ horry county country boy river rats…right there with you brother…i prefer a suped up coastal, strip boats just doesn’t seem safe to me, nice video

  • stripboat:

    These boats a very sturdy.
Not everybody want’s that much power. I can make any way you want. I have been running these kinds of boats since i was eight. The reason i get away with it is becouse i know what i am doing. Your average person could not do that with that much power. And a steering wheel would not let you jerk the boat around the corner. There is only 17″ from center to turn left to right and the faster you go the shorter the distance. This is’nt your average daddy’s boat

  • Trojanballer54:

How sturdy are those boats? I’m just wondering for fishing purposes, because thats all I do when I’m on the water.

By the way if you want to ride those boats like that, you should build a console with a steering wheel on it. I know I’m not the best with the tiller on my daddy’s boat and I’d be scared to ride it like that.

  • colintheshit:

    outstanding

  • Doomed747:

Wow do you use bait or just toss the lure in the water?

  • swirlcrop:
