anyone thats ever been in both ranger and champion brand boats knows that Champion made the best all around hull on a bass boat. Champion is the caddilac of rough water…certainly not ranger…..driver input also makes a huge difference in rough water. sure chapm doesnt have alot of the knick nacks that a ranger has on it but they are the superior bass boat hull….they always have been.

Not to pop your bubble or anything dv6000hp but the rangers hull is no where near as durable as the allisons. An allisons hull is top of the line, in both speed and durability. That’s why they have a life time warranty on them, because they are confident in their hulls. But I will agree with you on the comparison ratio. It’s not fair to compare an allison to anything but an allison.

Allison Bass Boat vs Ranger Bass Boat! This title is not very fair and miss leading. The ranger is much heavier ( more durable hull) and does not have a racing motor. Change the title to race boat vs. fishing boat.
Look man, no one builds a bad boat anymore, ok? Ranger is a better for fishing, because they feel ten times more solid then an allison, because they are heavier, and they have much more core to them then any allison out there, but allison is a racing boat, so therefore, they aren’t mass produced, but they are ten times lighter because they don’t have in them what rangers do, to put it simply, ranger is a heavy, rock solid bass boat, allison is a light, flimsy, fast boat.
yea we all know rangers r heavier and slower than a allision so chill i wanna know what motors they both have

I find a canoe does a nice job. Doesn’t disturb the fish and will hold literally hundreds of beers. Now stop watching boat videos and go catch a lunker.
March 2009 Amistad coming in to Diablo East from old Mexico wind howling 45 mph… a 21 ft Allison w/ 300 XS passed my 521 Ranger w/ 250 XS. Quartering waves were giving me a rough time (incipent chine-walk) – from 50 yds away he looked like he was taking the waves well. I ran out of steam at 75 gps (propshaft fixed @ 3+ inches below pad) and he just kept going…. my new dream…. son=college grad=521 owner….. dad=Allison BasSportPro owner…. best of both worlds…. fishing and flying!

i have carried 8 people before, i caught the biggest bass of my life in a peroe
1st I am a fan of the Ranger in this clip. This Allison is a 97 and has handled major storms(V Hull) on Pickwick and Lake Lanier. The driver is key. You can’t just jump in an Allison an go (it takes talent and two hands). The great thing about this boat is it will seat four guys behind the glass and roll 90 mph. How many times have you wanted to take a 3rd or 4th fisherman with you? Granted Decks are samller then most but the biggest large mouth I ever caught was in a Jon Boat.
man, i fish huge tournements like the mcdonalds big bash splash on toledo bend, i see absolutley 0 allisons. For several reasons,
1. terrible on rough water (toledo bend is very rough)
2. livewells are terrible
3. not much storage
4. too small
I am not denying that allisons arent good boats. they are great for a joy ride boat and just to goof off in. i would love to have one. But they suck ass for fishing, SUCK ASS FOR FISHING ! ! but they have good fuel economy, ill say that
Guy, you obviously dont have a clue about Bass boats or you would know that an Allison is what everyone wishes they had. There is not a stronger built boat out there, There is not a faster built bass boat out there. Im not going to knock the other builders, there are a lot of good boats out there. “Very cheap built”, “Mass produced” Not one piece of wood in an Allison, lifetime hull warranty, Hand built one at a time per order fool. Go ahead, lets hear some more of your drivel.
