BASS – KING OF TABLE ROCK (Very Sparkly)

A surprisingly good day of fishing on Table Rock Lake near Branson, MO. Smallmouth and Spotted Bass (Kentuckys) were caught; no largemouth today.

Hayward Fly Fishing is a fly fishing specialty shop open year round in Hayward, Wisconsin. In addition to just about every fly you could ever want, they offer a drift boat-based oar powered guiding service that specializes in muskies and smallmouth bass found in the waters of the Chippewa Flowage.

@666turbobusa Well, 666 Turbo Bob, you’ve got me on that one. I’ve never fished for white bass in Table Rock. Have you tried putting those key words in and seeing if somebody’s made a video?

  • 666turbobusa:

so where the best place to catch white bass there?

  • Winkiedoodles:

I think he got it at a Triton dealer somewhere near Springfield.

  • porelore:

thats a nice boat were did u get it

  • Winkiedoodles:

Thanks, Matt! This video was from last fall, sometime in late August or September. Primarily due to changing work conditions we haven’t been on Table Rock nearly as often as last year. It can be really good fishing at times! Yes, indeed great minds do have a common methodology to their madness! Take care and thanks for watching!

  • MLBRENIZER:

Cool, As Usual, Don! 5 Stars & A Favorite From Me! I used that bluesy/deep south rock song in one of my videos. Funny thing is, I used it when my Dad had a fish on, & his rod was bending toward the water, just like you showed us in your video. What can I say? Great minds think alike!

  • Winkiedoodles:

BCat: It’s probably just as well that you haven’t. He has this delusional idea that a Triton is as good as a Bass Cat. (Ha!) Don’t know what to say; the goofball runs all over that lake fairly often. Anything happening on the Rock now like drop shot?

  • tablerockbasscat:

I am from The Rock but have never seen this guy?

  • Winkiedoodles:

Agree. Best of luck getting to go to Table Rock again this summer!

  • BuddhaCris69:

im trying to persuade my parents to take me again this summer…table rock is by far the best lake ever

  • TrexHunter2000:

No, but I did catch one (once).

  • Winkiedoodles:

What did you use to fish for the walleye?

  • TrexHunter2000:

Yes, but I don’t know exactly where.

  • Winkiedoodles:

Thanks for commenting, Babybiter! Yes, there are. One of my vids (Walleye World -Very Sparkly) shows a nice walleye. We normally don’t catch them bass fishing.

  • babybiter73:

    are there walleye in tablerock

  • Winkiedoodles:

Thanks for commenting, Huske….We haven’t been down there since around early March so I’m looking forward to summer vacation. Best luck this season!

  • HuskeHardcore:

Table Rock is the greatest lake. I try to make it there every year.

Hey Winkie you never sent this vid out ! Great work man You Guys make it look easy ! *****

  • Winkiedoodles:

707, actually, I believe it was! In previous “episodes” I stuck with jigs or tubes. My friend Barry really is good at drop-shotting; you have to find the fish and then keep the boat right on top of them. Big fun.

  • bassin707:

Doodles, you were pullin’ our leg when you said you’ve never drop shotted; weren’t you? Those sure were some nice, fat Kentucky (spotted) bass you guys caught out there; if only we could all be so lucky!!:-)

  • Winkiedoodles:

Crazy, thanks, it was very interesting to fish deep with those little drop-shot worms. BTW, I don’t know why this vid isn’t available in HQ. Maybe something’s broken at You Tube (it is rendered in MPEG-2 DVDHQ codec).

  • crazyfin2:

Winkiedoodles, It looks like you both had a great time. 5*

  • ajcuster1:
