Can you ski or tube behind Bass Tracker bass boats? say the 18 or 19 ft. boats with 90+hp?

I want a bass boat for fishing. My wife wants a boat that we can play in, tube or ski. What can we do?

You should be fine with 90hp, when I was a kid would ski behind a pontoon boat with a 50hp. There are also a lot of fish and ski boat options with nice casting decks and higher rails so the kids don’t fall off.

the Bass Trackers are great for fishing but quite honestly they’re not very good for pulling any kind of weight. They will pull a tube and what not but it can be a eal challenge to get a skier up and going with small outboards on them. You’re in the perfect situation for a fish and ski boat. Theres many on the market and the prices arn’t too bad for a lot of them. Nitro makes some really nice boats but they are a little pricey. You have brands like Astro that are kind of a “knock off” brand of the Nitros and what not but are just as good with a much smaller price tag. I have a 19 ft Astro with a 150 Mercury and it’s just great. It’s very easy to maneuver while fishing and has more than enough power to pull whatever you like. I have a 45 pound thrust Minnkota trolling motor which is plenty for it. These boats seat normally about 5 people comfortably which is much more family oriented than the small Bass Tracker boats. They’re just over all a lot more fun and versatile in my opinion.

we tube on my cousins bass boat in the summer, we use a triangle setup and a d ring to connect,,, however if you dont have a boat yet, look into the ski/fishing boat,,, most important thing from experience is the lack of cover(bimini top) or any protection from the sun on bass boats,,, its no fun being out on a boat all day in the heat, esp if youre just fishing, I have a 18ft open bow pleasure boat,,, its also has its disavantages such as its not made for fishing and is a little harder to mount a trolling motor, get into more shallow areas and is more difficult to walk around due to all the seats,,, so my advice is look into a boat made for ski and fishing,,, they are more common these days

what kind of wuss question is that?
bass boats are made for fishing.
    fishing and waterskiing don’t mix.

more proof mixed marriages don’t work…
    ie: fishing / non-fishing.
