Do you have to fish in tournments to get sponcered in bass fishing?

So last year i gave a seminar on spring time crankbaits at my local basspro shops. I am only 15 and i dont have a boat. is there any way companies would sponcer me? if i continued to give seminars?

i’m not sure thry asking the people at bass pro they might know
not only fish tournaments, but you would need to win some, as well.
you need to be recognized as a top fisherman.
l catch my share, but since l don’t fish any major tournaments or invent any lures, they would look at me and say, “what?”
and you would very likely need a boat.

For anyone to sponsor you, you would have to be worth some sort of value to them. You would have to be very well known for catching a lot of big fish…at tournaments of course. if you know your $hit so good that you are giving seminars on fishing tactics then learn at least to hit spell check. There aren’t any more stupid athletes. In today’s market of humanity who are all pushing and shoving there way to the front of the line at some point you will have to talk to someone and they will know during the interview way before you get up to leave if they are going to or not going to sponsor you or anyone. Be smart at 15 you have time to read all their is about this sport join a club and fish club tourney’s as a non boater set goals to be the best and practice being the best by winning tournaments and then winning your first boat and with a win or two under your belt and a few good seminars on your resume you can go after sponsors but this is a dream of 120,000 men a year enter tournaments and quite a few women. all of em want to be a bass pro winning angler and guess what….. only the smartest ones make it.
