I have a 16ft bass fishing boat with a Mercury 50hp engine?

when ever I turn sharp it wants to hydroslide sideways. It feels like it wants to flip over. What could be the problem?

I added a fin to the engine to try an stop the problem but it made it worse.

the maneuver you are attempting exceeds or nearly exceeds the design capability of the hull.

dont get a mercury, thats the problem crappy eninge

  • RNuts:

That’s just going to happen because of the design of the boat. Their is nothing you can do to change that but too slow down when turning.

Best thing to do is slow down. I have run flat bottom boats all my life. Very easy to flip them over if you don’t know how to handle them.
