I fish all the time, and the biggest bass I have caught was a 82lb. Striper Hybrid. I did it with live bait. Medium sized minnows are your best bet. Let it sit too. In other words, don’t real in slowly. Be patient.

wait until the sun is falling, when they are feeding

and then start casting out skitterpops, hulapoppers, and jitterbugs for some crazy topwater bass fishing.

the smaller the pond the smaller the lure or bait. if you have clear water use a light line in fact use light line anyway because you should be using small baits like roadrunners and small rattletraps, make long casts cause bass might spook easy when you walk the shore. also use small plastic worms, it will feel like a perch tapping the worm then jerk the worm to set the hook. make sure you can pull your drag out with your hand before you start fishing. oh wow a paddleboat, humm…. maybe if their used to one. if it were me i would paddle to a spot and anchor for a while then change spots that way it will give things a chance to settle down

  • Nathan:

most of your lil ponds actually can not be accessed with a boat..with a motor.. but if you are paddling then they cant say to much… it is always better to ask be for hand tho michigan DRN is pritty good but they are quick to issue tickets…

  • Live To Fish:

Yes you can use a paddle boat. Try crankbaits like Rapalas and rubber worms. Also try live bait like nightcrawlers and minnows.

  • LARRY4599:

    top water baits
