My humble advice: 1st, there are imperfections on the bulkheads, the curvature needs to be fixed, easier then filling with putty and sanding down…2nd: You can use some polyurethane glue plus nails but remove nails later for better surface…3rd: Try thinner bulkheads and shave the edges to meet the hull curvature…Check with a ruler or batten to fair the edges…Also you can make a steam tube to soften the wood make the work easier… Hope this helps…Greetings!

Very nice, If I was to make this, I would use both glue and nails that way it will stay in tact even if you drop it. Then use some sort of bondo all around it, and sand it down, just to cover up all the nails, then just paint it with some stained wood color, and over it with clear coat.
to do a better job and more fun glue it in sted of nailing it..

cheater use glue instead of staples
i you use a stem box and stem the wood it will bend in crazy ways and make those tough bend alot easyer

I toof a 1×4 ripped it in to 3/16 in thick then ripped them down to 1/2 in so i had 3/16 by 1/2 in stuck it in a steamer i made. Worked great
what you should do it fiberglass it and that would make it realy good, also i jave a question what wood did u use

Go to lowes .buy a wall paper steamer for removing paper. Get a 4 in pvc tube cap 1 end solid cap the other side so it can get a smaller cap to attch to your steamer. drill holes in your pvc pipe stick your pieces in it to steam for about 1 or 2 hrs take it out you can bend it in a circle
