    @wildboatman
    I like to keep the bait moving until I find them. Once I do I slow down to keep them biting.

  • wildboatman:

    do you work the jerk bait fast or slow for whites?

    @wildboatman
    Keep fishing until you find them. Just dont stop moving until you have them located.
    It’s not the perfect advice but, its worked for me a few times in the past.
    Thanks for watching.

    I love deer creek! PLEASE take my suggestion. Try trolling for muskie at Alum Creek Lake in june near the dam ( just like for saugeye. They get huge there, and can be caught EASILY. there release frys annually, and it’s only 30 min away from columbus. Best fishing of my life so far….. And it will be for you as well. I met a man there who caught 5 in a hour. try 5 inch huskie jerks( rapala) for the big ones. and crankbaits for the small ones

  • FSHNGPRO8923:

    you have to try for muskie in june for trolling at alum creek lake state park. I met a man there when i was saugeye fishing who caught 5 in about an hour. It would make a great show, and it’s just 30 minutes away from columbus. and by the way have you ever tried griggs reservoir for bass in june? well, IT’S GREAT try it. it’s on the scoito, and it’s one of my favorite fishing spots. I catch cats,smallies, largemouth, crappies, and saugeye there.

    summersville and burnsville in WV lots of time we try and catch bluegill for bait at those places and have a hard time for catching nice size bass pluss at burnsville they are managing bass great now they have put out alot of structure for bass and flathead catfish also this stuff called bass grass and lily pads

  • fishin25530:

    exactly joe

    there is a spot of water i want you to fish near ironton it is near the OHIO it looks like the mouth of some small river or a back water it looks great though and big enough for a boat if i get exact location and directions to you would you give it a try

  • Fishnwithjoe:

    I like live minnows for crappie and Yozuri Pinns minnows for white bass.

  • Fishnwithjoe:

    I’m happy when I catch a fish because fishing is so tough in my area. Sometimes I fish for hours just to get a bite. You gotta be thankful for what you got even if its not always the biggest.
    Thanks for watching my videos

    I think you have the best fishing videos on youtube because ur not pro and u dont act like u catch them all the time

  • Hunterandfisher7:

    what size of crankbait and wat color for white bass and spring crappie?

  • landingfisher84:

    gota love the white bass run

  • Fishnwithjoe:

    It’s a small jerkbait however, spinners, small crankbaits, twisters and live minnows work very well.

    What was the bait for the first fish caught called

  • Fishnwithjoe:

    I’ve heard about Upper Mud. I really admire WVA’s forward thinking in creating catch and release only lakes. I like to fish O’Brien Lake and Elk Creek near Ripley.

  • highron:

    you talk about the spring run in this vid when dose that hit also i know a few locations/more than a few nere ironton such as timber ridge lake/webbs pond (witch used to be a pay lake and is now forgoten but still open to the public about 6 miles out side of ironton/ i also know of some great locations in wv nere huntington such as the upper mudriver lake and east lynn lake ever fish any of these spots?

  • Fishnwithjoe:

    Four pound and above smallies are trophies in Ohio. With the price of gas so high those in places like Dayton and Englewood have begun to treasure their close to home smallmouth streams like The Mad, The Great Miami and the Stillwater Rivers even more. I’m looking forward to a trip on the Mad River or the Great Miami this season. Thanks for watching and John you rock.

  • johnrocks937:

    ya u have i bet and ya i go down the mad river nice 4-5 pound smallies

  • catfishjunky:

    Awesome video! I don’t think she’s a 100 pounder, but probably pushing 70 easily. I’m glad snagging season opens this coming Sunday because I’m ready to snag some spoonbill down there on the James River arm near Flat Creek.
