I use neither. Get automotive undercoating. I actually sprayed mine on the inside of the boat. No more leaks. I am sure it would work equally as well on the outside as thats what it is designed for. Cans are usually 13 bucks or so and two will do a 14 footer

The toughest spray liner out right now in my opinion is Rhino Liner. Very durable and easy to keep clean. Keep in mind, the spray -in liner will add additional weight and you have to take that into consideration when adding passengers.

marine carpet is quieter and can be taken out for cleaning. if you want a level deck, fasten marine plywood to the ribs and glue carpet to the floor. this is the best method. will give you a safe, quiet floor. quiet is best for bass. have 16 ft. alumicraft.
