Tell your buddy that he needs to throw that shooter away. Tell him to try a 24 TXP and a 24 raker. I think he will be much happier with the performance. The hole shot may be a little slower with those props but his top speed should increase close to 4-5 mph.
The engine is too high, and he may be over propped some
i believe hes running a 14.25 x27 4 blade shooter, not sure.but he was really loaded down and the boat has a tendency to fall off the pad at high speed .
he has a manual jack plate and hes happy with it as is .if you have some suggestions im all ears.
What prop was he running? Hole shot seemed a little sluggish.
