What kind of speeds does she run ? Looking at the exact same boat right now (2003 185vs w 175 Johnson). Lots of fishing space ?

rode 7-8 footers on clearlake in my basscat shit was knar..
rode 6 to 7 footers in a 16 foot crestliner got the whole boat out of the water 4 times in 2 miles took an hour

NOOO a champion would never have broken in half. Champ and ranger are made by the same company. A champ is gonna keep you drier and more comfortable, but ranger will do just fine. I did waves like that at champlain out the ticonderoga launch and my boat is only a 178 vs, it did excellent. But anyways, I thought it was cruddy of that guy to brag about the 8 footers he did in a boat he doesn’t even own.
i doubt it, a champion wouldve broke in half. Rangers the only thing built to witstand that punishment.
