RC Fishing with a Traxxas Blast, and The RC Fishing Pole

My buddy Wally and I wanted to try fishing with remote control boats so we bought 2 rc boats, and 2 Fish Fun “RC Fishing Poles”. I put my “RC Fishing Pole” on a Traxxas Blast rc boat. Wally put his “RC Fishing Pole” on the Ed Hardy remote control boat, (with a replacement white top on it)….

my 14′ bass boat now equiped to enter a local marine stereo contest. 100watt 4×25 kenwood CD receiver, 12″ 250watt sub/amp combo. 9.9hp 1976 johnson seahorse outboard. top speed – 32mph

    @ARLINBENZ i feel ya

  • ARLINBENZ:

@xesiria Well, that’s what the line release’s is for, fish hits, line disconnects from the boat, reel in the fish with your regular fishing rod. In that vid, I was going to use the boat to pull in the fish, thats different. I use a very small hook if I’m using the boat to pull in the fish.

  • ARLINBENZ:

@xxskillerxx99 I know, bummer but stay tuned….I’ll catch one for sure!

  • xxskillerxx99:

it is cool.not to be mean but it gets kinda boring because you dont catch a fish.

  • ARLINBENZ:

@DJFishinman I put a bigger battery in it, and it was more powerfull and lasted longer. I recommend a bigger battery too if you’re fishing. I bought a 2400mah

  • DJFishinman:

Fun stuff! My son gets a kick out of his RC boat.

  • ARLINBENZ:

sorry I hit the tumb down by accident, I meant thumb up!

  • ARLINBENZ:

If you haven’t noticed, I’m a rc fishing fanatic. I put a really small hook on it so I wouldn’t catch a big whopper.

  • xesiria:

That gives a new meaning to buzz bait:) What happens if you do catch a fish with the RC robot and the fish is heavy then the robot? what ever happen to the good old days with a pole and line? lol

    a bit gay

  • jmbowe:

What good is a fishing boat that scares fish away with the noise it makes?

  • kooz6:

sure niice setup and sound, but your boat looks like hell:) get a system

  • fishinhunter12391:

The subs pretty sweet but i have to agree with everyone else. The only way that boats going to do 32mph is when its being pulled behind the truck. Id give it 17-20mph. Because my 14′ with a 6hp only goes 10-11mph on plane using a gps with just me in it and 8mph with 2 people in it on plane.

  • raplamaster03:

that was alsome I want to do that to mine

  • RyanRiopel:

    hahahaha @ the rivets.
How do you power an amp and stereo with a 9.9?

  • firelitestudios:

my analog speedo was wrong, i gpsd it last fall and it was 21.8mph without the extras. either way, it will only do 65 on the trailer now, the subs shook a bunch of rivets loose so its a soup strainer at the moment. i now have a 24′ tri toon with a 60hp evinrude that ive gpsd at 24mph. oh and um a 4500 watt rms kenwood stereo, 6x 6x9s 4x 12″ subs, 2x 10″ woofers, and 2x 8″ tube subs. my neigbors wont let me use my stereo inside the no wake zone.

  • casepker:

I think your an idiot, My 15hp on my 12ft goes about 17 mph. I also have a nitro bass boat with a 200hp on it and that goes 73 gps.

There is no way in hell a 9.9 will go 32mph go look some up on youtube and tell me if you find one MOVING at 32 mph

  • Seif5034:

you guys underestimate the power-weight ratio of that boat. 9.9 is a lot for a jonboat. My 12′ jon is rated for only 7hp max so I’d believe it.

  • casepker:

I think it might push it 12 mph not even close to 32 tho lol.

  • 950hpvette:

Nice boat man, like the set up and all. But I don’t think a 9.9hp would push a 14′ fiberglass boat at 32mph?? Maybe 22mph.

  • dirtydodger:

that will bring the fish right in! ha ha ha!!!

  • 1989FtB:

how does that sub do? i thought about buying one for my golf cart? and i saw them at wal-mart for like $50 and it comes wit the amp
