Rebirth Of A River The Olentangy River Documentary
Joe Jordan has known about the great fishing in The Olentangy River for years but, now the fishing is better than ever. Joe feels the work that The Ohio State University Wetlands Research Center has done in cleaning up the water that runs through Olentangy River may be the reason why. Recently Joe proposed a documentary about The Olentangy River filmed from an anglers perspective to WOSU television and they have expressed interest in the idea. Joe has begun filming for the documentary and you should see the results!

The documentary I’ve been working on about the Olentangy is quite a large project. I’d jump at the opportunity to do one about Darby Creek as well. It takes alot of planning to get it done. I’m open to ideas so if you have any send them my way.
Joe
Hey Joe, I know some people have already brought up the idea, but could we see a segment like this one on the Darby?
Hey Joe, I think someone else has already mentioned it to you, but I would really like to see a segment like this one on the Darby.
Piscatorialphd there are very nice places to fish in your area. If you are in a pinch for time try the area where 21st Street Crosses Racoon Creek in Newark. There are always a few smallmouth and spotted bass downstream from the bridge for your flyrod. Then check out my video on Kokosing Lake. From Newark take Route 13 North to Frederickstown. As soon as you pass the town you’ll see the signs directing you to Kokosing Lake. The north side of the only western cove is the best.

Joe – Nice work. Tom Allen, Ohio EPA, COFF, TU sent me your video preview. Nice work, I look forward to taking the flyrod to the Olentangy. Most of my flyfishing was on the Shenandoah River in VA. I might see you on the water. I will most likely be in a square stern canoe with an electric trolling motor. Where do you usually put in? I work at Denison in Granville, OH and still looking for fishing locations.
My favorite place to fish as well Mrsqsilver. Thanks for watching.
Should be finished sometime this summer.
Thanks River3782
Ten years ago fish like this were unheard of on this stretch of the Olentangy River but, after the cleanup efforts the River is a five star bass fishery.
Thanks Tulsa4life

I was kid here in Muskogee,Oklahoma when this was all we had in the 70′s. These were the days!
fantastic. I’m from the uk, so didn’t get to see this as a kid. just watching battle beyond the stars, and looked up morgan woodward on imdb, and found out about his weather reportin’ bro and his liege lord king lionel. had to know more, and had my day nicely brightened into the bargain. a gentle brand of sophisticated fun i’d like to see today’s kids learnin to appreciate.
Yes indeed! Thanks for posting this!!
Great old memories! Thank you for posting!
Funny stuff. Brings back many memories of growing up in Oklahoma.
Remember these guys from my childhood. Also note that Lee Woodward is the actor Morgan Woodward’s brother.
the king sounds more like Walter Cronkite
