Sea and river fishing in Bournemouth this June, where’s best for bass?

Staying in Bournemouth mid-june 08, where is the best coast fishing? Prefer bass, but happy to catch most things. I don’t have a boat, just spinning and beach-casting rods. Also, is there any good river fishing to be had within a 30 mile radius of Bournemouth? Many thanks, and tight lines

Try the pier, I always had sport with mackerel, garfish, bass etc. when I went there. Sand eels or lures imitating them are top bait!
