what advantages do bass boats have over bay boats?

i want to buy a boat and i want a bass boat but i’m not sure if i should get a bay boat. i’m going to fish in salt/brackish water during the summer a lot but then every other part of the year i will be bass fishing. what should i do?

bass boats have no advantage over a bay boat….either would be a great choice and actually I personally prefer the bay boat as the driving position is better

  • Grand Master Basser:

Bass boat has a bigger, longer, and better casting platform.

  • Nathan S:

Bay boats are built to handle a little bit bigger water with a deeper hull and are set up to handle salt water. If you get a bass boat and fish salt or brackish water just be sure to hose the boat and motor down when you get home because the salt can start to corrode the parts of the boat that are not protected.
