mike, there are a lot of places to go ,you dont say where on long island , but I do very well in suffolk county.. The peconic river , by the jail , has produced bass to 8 lbs for me.I do really good at some golf course ponds , especially now thru early april.I think you can rent a bost in shirley at southards pond. there are bass there
I know there are tons of places to fish in NY either the city or upstate. I am a member of NYBASS.com and they know it all.. check it out and ask your question there.
