Do any of you know that our answers are stolen and posted on other sites?
Here are just a few examples of websites stealing our stuff

There’s hundreds of more. What’s your opinions on this?
I could find you a thousand more links lol. just search your name like “Grand Master Basser” in the google search and click on the non-Yahoo! Answers pages. It’s all of our hard work copied and pasted!

Could care, honestly…
you forgot the government that way they can find out what we have and how much we know
Google bastards! Let me rephrase that. F*ckin’ google bass turds!
What the hell is that all about? Other websites are stealing OUR answers? Go**amn!
Yeah, like I’m really gonna go and research MY OWN answers… And who in their right mind is going to come up with something like Grand Master Basser? Other than myself, of course…
WTF?! I know imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but stop flattering us… freakin’ idiots… I don’t like this a bit…
Wait… how do we know that we’re not just copying usernames and answers from other websites? What if someone else already asked this question under your name on some other forum, and we’re caught in some Twilight Zone episode?!
*runs away*
Edit:
I think what bothers me most about it is that they’re not just stealing our answers, they’re stealing our usernames… trying to steal our awesomeness…. err… something.
Doesn’t bother me. Its not like they are stealing answers from people and getting anything out of it. They may gain respect of others on forums but thats it. If they were earning free stuff or money or anything like that then itd be a problem.
It’s been happening for years……….
Most of the regulars with good answers have all had our answers “filched” from YAnswer’s.
You can’t do anything about it. When answering Q on here we are posting to a “public” site…..
The way I see it, if my answer’s help more than ONE person that’s a good thing……..
Yes, it has always been that way. Most people on Yahoo answers are also members of other forums and they just want more answers to their questions, I guess. So it’s no surprise you’ll see the same questions on other site. I, myself belongs to a few of them because I like to share my opinion and tips to others and I end up learning other things as well. We’re all fisherman who wants more knowledge, no one really knows everything about this sport except for maybe the great Kevin VanDam.
yes… we googled our name and saw some of our answers…
I saw on a site where several of my answers were filched.
I say…..so what. If my answer to a question about a technique or fly selection or any other related matter HELPS someone other that the Y!
Answers community, I’m OK with that idea ( LOL) . After all, we’re here to help, give advice about fishing, give our opinions on gear, so why not ? It’s not like we have a patent ( and let’s face it, most of our advice is just common sense).
Think of how some of the fishing editors of magazines get their answers – sure, the’re in the field alot, but they also rely on local gurus for info.
Who on this board hasn’t asked a local or a fellow fisherman “how ya doin’ ? – What are you getting them on? Where are they hitting ? and so on.
I wouldn’t work myself into a tizzy over it, I’ll just knock 2 fingers of fine bourbon over ice and be thankful someone else thought my advice was good enough to publish and hopefully someone found it useful enough to improve their fishing
