Why does the DNR keep stocking pike in lakes in Wisconsin?

What is the point of stocking pike in lakes in Wisconsin? They eat all the game fish like bass and walleye. Pike are already in almost every lake in wisconsin. Why does the DNR keep adding more pike when they should be stocking the walleye.

is there an ubundance of fish like carp or other trash fish? pike and tigers are good at cleaning out any unwanted fish
