    @slatetundra07
We tried last Thursday and had no luck. Crappie were still down deep. Don’t know where the white bass were. Water looked good, was running into the bayou. Maybe
    the crazy weather

  • slatetundra07:

Can’t wait to get on those white bass and crappies!

  • philly442:

i would use road runners in muddy water

  • jetsafox:

@legocrashernick Great! Now go learn how to spell!

  • bmattison:

Thanks! Wanted to do it again this year but the record rain fall messed up a lot
    of fishing. )-:

  • 2480mac:

Nice fish! Those were some big crappie!

  • dwjkkrondor:

nice to see that you are practicing catch and release. I go fishing at my local lake all the time, shore fishing, and I can sit there for 6-8 hours and only catch one if Im lucky. Its nice to see someone having good luck

  • frofro73:

    Stripers are freshwater too…..dumbshit

  • legocrashernick:

    i have cot biger

  • cubfanjw6:

well i live in utah and the white bass are so over populated its no uncommon to to go to a little tiny place called sping creek and pull out 150 in a day

  • eyeballhunter:

Striped bass can also live in FRESHWATER.

  • glob66:

sheba51, you are an idiot! Striped bass also live in freshwater rivers and lakes. You must have thought you have fished for 30 years! You must have been smoking pot during those 30 years!

  • 12cpenni:

watch my ohio river video and check out some of the white bass me and another guy caught, we also got a 35″ flathead

  • ILiLJoNI:

the one at 2:00 is a small striper because it has a elongated body than white bass.

  • bmattison:

Used to be Mr. Twister White bodies, single and double tail. Pink 1/8 oz jig head, and small silver spinner.
I am putting a short video together of the jig.
I get alot of this same question. (-:
    Bill

  • caveman105:

what kind of jigs are you guys using?
    plz answer

  • sheba51:

Dont forget that the striped bass is a SALTWATER fish and the white bass is freshwater. All look like white bass to me, but what do i know? only 30 years of river fishing experience.

  • bmattison:

I checked and everyone was right, there were some stripers in the mix. They were coming hard and fast and we did not pay too close attention.
Went to the same area on 4/24/09. Water was higher than last year! We were catching these fish on a ledge running from 1.5 feet to around 28 feet deep Same place was 12 feet deep to 40 feet deep this year.

  • Sensei888XD:

I think the fish at 2:01,2:33,and 5:30 are striped bass. i could tell those species of crappie are white crappie. nice vid! the fish just kept coming!

  • kyosuke82:

stripper and white bass looks almost the same but stripper intends to grow bigger

  • lildbufreak:

what kind of jeep do you have and what year is it

  • CallofDutyHalo333:

It does look like you caught a striped bass. Anyway nice fish!

  • hondaciviczong:
