flies, worms
Mostly shad and craw fish.
They’re “equal opportunity” feeders. They will eat insects that fall into the water. They will eat smaller fish like minnows. They will eat worms, frogs – even smaller bass. Yes, they’ll eat their own young – which is why bass are such fast swimmers. In their fishy world, you snooze, you REALLY lose! And that’s why it’s such a thrill to go bass fishing: you hook one, you’ve got a fighter on your hands.
To add to the list, rodents, ducklings (big enough bass), snakes, baby alligators, lizards, anything they can fit their mouth around is fair game…
hopefully what im fishing with
Go to the fishing section of your local Walmart and look at all the different types of lures. Each of those lures is designed to mimic something that a bass would eat. I think most of these have been named.. all kinds of insects that swim close to the water’s surface – flies, moths and bees, crawdads, worms, frogs, mice, lizards, smaller fish – shad, blue gill, trout, other bass, ducklings.. they’ll eat almost anything. My brother put a cigarette butt on a hook and he got a bass to bite..
Bass feed on a large variety of things. Your best bet is probably
shad minnows , baby bluegills, baby bass, and a wide variety of other water inhabitants including crayfish.
all things that swim by their ambush spot
They feed on a variety of things. Some live animals such as shad, blue gill, worms, frogs, and snakes. Artifical lures are spinnerbaits, spoons, tubes, jigs, crankbaits, plastic worms, and a whole bunch of other things out there that you can find at a local sporting goods store.
They feed on shad, crawfish, perch, smaller bass, and frogs. You might be able to find more info at http://www.bassresource.com
