O wants to control who can fish where and when. Its not about banning sport fishing. Its about bureaucrats declaring certain places off limits, places that have historically, never been off limits to fishing.

No, because it isn’t a false claim. He does intend to heavily regulate fishing in some areas which will cause some people who enjoy the sport to not be able to participate in it anymore. nyah!
The issue is bigger than just this. There is federal law now that permits the federal government to control the use of inland waterways, such as rivers, streams, ponds and lakes, and this means private individuals can be prohibited from accessing these waterways. The federal government is extending its reach farther and farther into our personal lives, and herein lies a very great danger.
What I heard on Fox was that the government was looking at managing overfishing, by restricting sport fishing in selected areas
There’s nothing in what you posted that would lead me to trust Obama. There’s nothing in what you posted that shows he doesn’t want to limit and eventually ban sport fishing.

Once the lie is out there, people are going to believe it. ESPN could take out full page ad in every newspaper nationwide retracting what they said, and there would still be people saying Obama wants to ban fishing. the damage is already done.

…and just to address the overfishing issue. Ask just about any Jersey shore fisherman if they think the waters are being overfished. I think most of them will agree.

That’s great. Now why is he trying to stop commercial fishing?
They’re apologizing for the errors in editing and presentation- all that means is they didn’t present the counter point…. So? The proposition is real, and it’s outrageous- whether the counter arguments were represented or not. The fact that this kind of crap is on the table, is yet another “sign of the times” and based on Obama’s choices and priorities up to this point- any possible infringement on our rights, needs to be duly noted.
It does not contain specific language that applies, but it does contain language that leaves the door open to the possibilities.
Maybe they don’t trust Obama because Obama will not admit to all the lies he told on the campaign trail?
I am an independent voter. I don’t trust Obama, and I talk to a lot of Dems who don’t trust Obama, now, either.

I know, you know and everyone else here knows you have NOT seen the policy paper in question. It does expressly recommend FEDERALIZING control of what can and cannot be done (specifically mentions fishing as an example) anyplace that’s wet and EVERYONE knows Obama doesn’t have it in him to wave-off such control.
