Any Tips on largemouth fishing on lake st. clair in michigan?
i have a junior bass tournoment and its my very first compitition. i just wanted some tips on fishing for largemouth on lake st. clair in michigan. thanks

St.Clair is mostly a smallmouth factory..so if smallmouth can be used in the tourney thats what u should target for. tube baits work great also crawfish crankbaits just as a bomber A or Rebel are good too. good luck and good fishing
get some Canadian worms,
night crawlers, bass love them
well the lake is full of smallies so if you can use them.
i live an hour from there and i always hook into some nice bass.
use a top water lure called a Hedon Torpedo its really good if you are fishing in the after noon.
also try to use a mister twister with a simple jig head.
tell me how good you do in the tournament and if i helped any.
personally i would have to say the jitterbug i went large mouth bass fishing and got 3 five pounders. but of course thats just my personal fav everyone else has good tips also… good luck
i find that large mouth bass like top water lures like black jitterbug ;mouse;frog lures are good if fishing with plastic like worms eels or lizards use red blue or pumpkin colored lures they tear them up
Good Luck finding Largemouth on St. Clair. It’s mostly a Smallmouth Bass Fishery. Not saying there aren’t any, but the conditions favor smallies more than largemouth.
You can catch largemouth on Lake St. Clair. but you will have much better luck if you go after the Smallmouth there. They are abundant and grow LARGE. Look for changes in bottom contour. Like boulders, reefs, depressions, around islands. I think that would be the fish to go after in that lake. Like fishing Lake Erie. The largemouth are there in the harbors and marinas, but the smallie fishing is usually better except during the spawn.
