ive seen those big mepps with the white tail and silver blade catch 3 and 4 lbs bass. works really good in clear water

youtube won’t allow me to post the link, I appoligize, It’s the only one with this name, maybe you typed fishman instead of fishermen? I have before and it will not come up. I hope this helps, let me know if it does.

  • jimmyjohnsonrocks123:

Yep, Clear Lake has a deceiving name to it. Certainly isn’t clear.

  • Fishingfan221:

@catfisher10100 Rooster tails are you kidding me i give my 7 and 9 year old cousins that to catch little 8inchers maybe in a pond or something but not on an actuall lake.

  • proudtoserve1:

Clear Lake is gross, I will never swim in there again. It does have some excellent fishing, however.

  • Bigtimfish1:

@mkalinyuk87 In the spring (spawn), MOST of the big bass people catch are not caught because they are hungry, A bass will sit on it’s bed a protect it. They will bite a bait not to eat it, but to carry it off and get it away from the bed. It’s a terretorial/protection instinct.

  • philly442:

anyone use a skirted lock and lure jig with a chunk bait? i need info please :]

  • oddvious1:

A rooster tail? lol, thats kind of obsolete. It does sometimes catch alot of bass but ive gotten alot more small bass on it than big ones

  • sako282:

    what time of day?

  • sako282:

    thanks for the tips

  • mkalinyuk87:

Right now is good fishing, cause it’s fall. Bass eat to get fat for winter. Also, spring is one of the best times too. It’s spawning season for bass and they’re really hungry and attack almost anything!

  • sako282:

when do u go bass fishing i live in ca to and i wanna know when to go fishen for bass

  • catfisher10100:

the ultimate bass fishing lure is a rooster tail hands down

  • mkalinyuk87:

Try a spinnerbait. I live in CA and I go about once a week to Camp Far West Lake and the fishing there is INSANE on spinnerbaits. But the key is the right color. The one that works best here is a chartreuse/white with gold AND silver blades. Try that. Me and my dad had like 15 hits last week, pulled in 13 and took 10 home for dinner :)
