omg thats ALOT OF TACKLE!!!! where do you get all of that!

  • smileyj206:

I still have a long way to go but I’m working hard every day on sponsors and my fishing skills. I never truly go “fun fishing”…I’m always working on perfecting something. Hopefully one day I’ll be blessed enough to qualify for the Elite Series…

I started my own BASS club when I was 16 and thats when I started bass fishing in tournaments. Then I joined a large bass club, fished as a non-boater for 6 years & learned from some of the best fisherman in my state and soaked up info like a sponge. As I got older I made good decisions about finishing college and married a great supportive wife. In the middle of all that, I fished 3-4 times a week, even if it was just walking the bank of local ponds.

  • darkfox3777:

how did you become a pro fisherman please reply

  • deathpunish2:

number one is you gotta have money and then enter tournaments

  • duckcommander52:

  • smileyj206:

RageTails are absolutely the bomb! I caught a 5lber in a tournament on Kentucky Lake on the first cast I made w/ that bait.

  • flipsk828:

I saw you had ragetails, are those any good?

  • smileyj206:

Hard work, buying at a discount (I never pay full price for anything), and work with the companys who’s tackle you like and if you’re helping them out they will usually help you out. Good luck Tribble…

  • tribble03man:

how did you get so muck stuff

  • smileyj206:

I see. For smallmouth I start with a Deep Little N in Firetiger or LV500 in Red or White patterns. For Largemouth, I start with a black/blue 1/2oz jig, single colorado blade Picasso spinnerbait (chart/white), or a RC 2.5 crankbait in Chart/blue back. Good luck bro!

  • walkingtoclass:

both, preferably largemouth. but which ever one bits. haha

  • smileyj206:

I use the revo’s but the E7 i heard is nice too.

  • smileyj206:

Are you fishing for largemouth or smallmouth in murky water?

  • swimbaitkid:

Yeah the swimbait rods are great.I like the new mag topwater rod.I had the old 807 that i used for the 16 inch orso and i loved that rod but sadly i lost it running in rough water.

Do you throw the revos?Im throwing the new curado E7 reels on mine they are sweet.

  • smileyj206:

Hey there. Those are great rods! The Mike Long swimbait rod is hands down the best swimbait rod ever made. I’ve seen guys sponsored by Okuma, Loomis, and Daiwa switch to the new ML 795 swimbait rod. I’ll do a video on them soon…

  • swimbaitkid:

You should post a video of your rods and reels.

How do you like the new dobyns?I got the 766,765 ,734 and im gonna get the mike long jig rod when they come out.

  • walkingtoclass:

what lure and color is the best to use in murky running water?

  • smileyj206:

Thanks for your comment. Not sure what your situation is but I’ve found you can make your life what you want it to be if you work hard and focus on your goal. You can do it bro!

  • walkingtoclass:

    dang…you inspire me…Pro1Day
