Castaic Lake fishing advice?? Help>?


Sooo Im going fishing to castaic lake this saturday.
Ive only been there once before and didnt catch anything.

Im trying to catch some trout and maybe some bass

what kind of lures or bait works best??

techniques maybe too??

    I don’t know about trout for bass I would use a swim bait and Senko worm. If you want size use larger baits, downsize for numbers. Spro makes good swim baits. A jig is a good bait too for flippin. Damn I wish I was going. Im watching it snow.

    one possibilty if you have a boat is to troll either with a downriiger or lead line. You would use a large swimbait , like a huddleston or castaic trout 8-12″. This is a gear intensive and technique intensive tactic that produces 10lb bass.

    or..

    you could drop shot 45 ft down using your trout gear and some soft plastics and a couple dolars in new hooks.

    smaller fish…less intesive tactic.
