Depending the place you will visit, fishing can be from rewarding to simply feeding the fish.
Most places especially during August are fully inhabited and therefore finding a spot to fish a little difficult.
Besides, fishing is much more rewarding if you can rent a boat and go a little way off the coast and use a fishing line from the side of the boat. We call it “katheti”,and if you get to the right spot it can be highly rewarding. Similarly, a multi-hook apparatus called “tsapari” is used to catch certain kind of fish and squids.
Best to do, observe the local fishermen and do the same.
Fishing in Greece is not as you are accustomed to.
