I like to keep my baits on the small side when fishing for rock bass. 1/8 & 1/4 ounce jigs, small crankbaits and minnow type lures all work well. These fish are a blast to catch on ultralite gear and will hit a variety of baits and lures. Tight lines and good fishing!
Fish them the same as you would crappie. Best bait is small minnows,
Depends on how deep and what kind of fisherman you are. If you are a jig fisherman go with a 1/4 ounce spinner bait maybe or a little jig. If you are a fisherman that likes to fish minnows you should fish a crappie minnow. I prefer jigs but every fisherman is diffrent.
worms and really small jigs work well. why would you fish for rock bass? seriously. because where i’m from, they are like a garbage fish
