Hallelujah! Turkey season is finally at an end

At one o’clock last Sunday, I heard an old tom turkey sounding off down in the timber behind my home. It wasn’t so much the ‘gobble-gobble-gobble’ you normally hear… it sounded as if he were giving forth a ‘hallelujah-hallelujah’. The turkey-hunting season was over and I felt the same way he did.
