You can use the spinner lure rite below the water with a slow constant go, or you can use it as a jig if the bottom of the water is not too cluttered with roots or other thing you could get hung up on.

I don’t know about the spinner but I do know about the banjo minnow. The best technique is to, reel it in fast and the stop and jerk twice, then keep repeating.
good luck catching the big one

Whether it be a’ spinnin’, spincast and or baitcaster rod/reel, with the spinner bait it’ll basically be the same. When I did Bass I’d use a’ slow retrieve, stop and let her “dead-fall” (SB bait droppin’) and retrieve again so it’ll resemble somethin’ injured and or slow retrieve (again) with SLIGHT twitches side ta’ side usin’ mainly the tip portion of your rod so it gives it a’ dartin’ effect. The “dead-fall” method for me worked the best meanin’ as I stopped the retrieve, bass would hit on the fall. Hope it helps;)… < ' ( (( > <

Note: Not sure on the Banjo Minnow (never used em’) but, I would think the above method would get their attention also…

Same way with a spincast, or baitcasting reel. Simple cast & retrieve motion (With occasional pauses for giving that injured minnow look.). But, anybody will tell you spinnerbaits are the easiest baits to use. If you can turn a reel handle, you can fish a bass spinnerbait.

Banjo Minnow i don’t know about. Watch the DVD or look it up on Google (OR don’t use it, it’s too complicated for me LOL!)

    Happy fishing.
