what is bad about a long skirt? wouldnt it give more action?
You shold keep it longer because if you dont the bass cant see the trailer as well. the whole point of a trailer is that the bass can see it.
i know you didnt ask me but i jig fish alot and i would say remove the brush guard completly if you swiming the trailer or keep entirly if your imitateing a crwfish. but to acualy answer the question with the guard or not itl be easy to set.
looks goofy but works great
yes but jigs are minly ussed to imitate a crwfish and with that trailer it looks more realistic.
good info but wont the weight of the jig sink the trailer?????
that’s exactly what i was thinking, that rig looks awful period, but hey whatever works!
thanks
nice info it helped me out last week thanks
wow id never throw that jig trailer. looks goofy as hell!
great vid! I’m grabbin my jigs to start cuttin!
since most bass hit from the side of the lure rather then the back. its not too big of a deal. but you dont want to put an 7 inch trailer on or anything crazy.
Thanks guys! This is very helpful!
you dont think that trailers a little big? i usally cut mine little less then half then put it on..you think it helps it being longer?
thanks for the tips on jigs! I noticed you trimmed the weedguard but not completely like i’ve seen other pros do. They say that it gets in the way of the bite. What do you think?
