Marsha Gipson (Pro Angler) Bass Fishing Tips when “Jig Fishing”
Marsha Gipson (Pro Angler) Shares Tips and Tactics on “Jig Fishing” for Bass with Arkansas Tournament Fishing.

It is a preference…… Both fluor & mono have pros and cons. Most use fluorocarbon for jigs and mono for cranks. You may find a great difference on your hook set and better feel with braided line. Braided line will also help you while working a jig through deep timber, rocks, and through lilies. As far as rods,7 foot med is fine(graphite better feel). The heavier rod the better the ability to feel but you take a chance in ripping the hook out if too stiff. Use heavier rod while flipping.
@ArkansasFish
I have a 7 ft medium with a 631 gear ratio …I know its not a medium heavy but do you think it makes any diifference besides gettin my pole snapped?
Mono or fluorocarbon better for jig fishin?
Thanks! Marsha Gipson can def… do some fishing!! When you feel the taps on the line try waiting a second for the fish to take the bait into its mouth. Sometimes they will just tap at it a few times before committing. You may also feel taps from small fish like Blue Gill or smaller Bass. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any big bass around it just means they saw your bait first…..
Great tips thanks….
Now I just need help with how do you set the hook? To the side? I feel the tapps but miss it!
