I no longer switch hands I changed the crank handle to the other side.
Roger
Roger — why don’t you do this with the rod in your right hand? then you don’t have to change hands after impact?
thanks
well im just getting a canoe so i can fish in it for a couple years. im gunna get a 12 foot pelican bass boat its like 2,000
get a pontoon boat insted better for bass fish. Check out bimart. I got mine for $260
Roger
doe you use brush hogs with football gig heads/ spiral locks
good info thanks im getting a canoe soon so i can flip docks bu for now im on shore
For large mouth bass try fishing docks more the weeds do not grow well under docks ans the bass will be there. I would try fishing a frog over weeds. A buzz bait will get you big bass.
For smallmouth bass in rivers I like a senko drop shot in current seams coming of points. Look for the bass in about 15 feet of water. I also love a weighted senko wacky rig, with a three inch senko. Spinner baits can be good in the spring. thanks for the question it’s a good one!
Roger
hey roger, i have a question i fish here in massachussetts were the bass habitat is mostly all weeds and in rivers there is relitivly good current what lures, tacktics, and techniques do you recomend for both smallmouth (river)amd largmouth (ponds)bass for me. nice video
try using fouro carbon line. fish low light times of the day . Also fish thicker cover the bass cant see the line as well.
Overcast days can help too. If you can see the bass they can see you make longer casts to your target. Good question!
Roger
Im 14 and i love bass fishing. I am from southern california in an area where bass are get spooked easy from always seeing lines. any specific lures and techniques you recommend.
pitching you let the line out on the pitch. A pitch goes about 30 feet. flipping you do not let any line off your reel on the flip. Sometimes you will peel line off the reel after the flip to let the lure fall strait down. A flipp goes 10 to 15 feet.
Thanks!
Roger
u know your stuff pretty well but what is the difference between pitching and flipping?
Yes I really like fireline. I have landed lots of big bass using the line and it has done a great job. Some times I use flouro leader so the fish will not be line shy. When ever I am fishing in water known for it’s big bass I use fire line.
Roger
great video are you a big fan of fire line? thanks
