If a fish that size had a meal before he caught him, it could have gave him a 1/2 pound advantage. But still it is a big fish.
Even though it was not official, Lake Dixon in California produced a 25lb bass. I thing that or bigger can happen again. The USA will ASS RAPE Japans record yet.
Big Bass are impressive, but give me a couple of 2 pounders and I’ll make fish tacos for 10 people. I do agree with the fooloshness of spending thousands of dollars on tackle and boats to catch a fish. Our ancestors managed with far less. Great reporting as usual, thanks as always for sharing an interesting story Josh.
So Bass Records are like Volleyball and Table Tennis now? you have to win by 2 points?
Naw, hunting is much harder…and the only reason 90% of people fish is because you can drink beer and fish at the same time and the fish won’t smell you!!! LOL
this is fun…
What other state is there really??? LOL
Fishings only year round in Texas bub!!! LOL
I was talking 1 kind of fish, not all fishing combined!!! And you can still see what you hunt. The whole point is you can’t see a fish to stalk it. Thats what makes it harder…
A report issued in 2006 by the Congressional Sportsmens Foundation stated that 979,000 hunters in Texas spent $2.3 billion annually. The report also stated that hunters expenditures support 106,000 jobs, generate $654 million in state revenue and create $793 million in federal tax money annually. Together, this equals an additional $18 million per day for the Texas economy.
…NOW WHAT!!!! LMAO!!!!

Do some research and find out how much hunters spend just on hunting licenses each year, leases, gear, ect. I have a feeling it is a lot more than what people spend on fishing. And hunters have a limited time during the year to harvest their trophy. Isn’t fishing a year round sport? Of course they are gunna spend alot.
Think on this Shane. US anglers spend $60 million a year on bass gear alone. Thats way more than hunters spend COMBINED!!! Also, we can spot and stalk all land based animals. I chalenge you to stalk a bass under water!!! LMAO!!! And make sure its a trophy, think of the years spent to find the next world record bass. You can’t get a drop tine, or find an old bed, or rub tree!!! Fishing is a much harder sport than hunting for sure!!!
They probably caught it from a fish tank!!!
For your info. The world record bass came from a lake in Cali, 77 years ago as you say. Get this. That world record bass was still alive till a few years back. It was caught again 2 times by a group of anglers that were trying to catch that exact fish!!! How do they know it was the same one? They named it Dotty due to a dot on its gill. The last time it was caught it weighed over 25lbs!!! But was foul hooked. Later that same bass came up a floater!!
doesn’t bother me a bit, congrats to the guy that caught it.
im suprised i dont like that but itwill come back to us someday or maybe canada there cool too
Who cares???? It is a fish. It’s not like it was a world record whitetail deer or anything, or a world record Elk…I mean, come on, it is a fish, yeah it tastes great, but that is it!!! LOL I tried my best to reply sounding lie you Joshepoo!!! LOL
5/5
