Beeautifully written and illustrated essay on striper fishing, mainly in the vicinity of Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. Much useful information and good descriptions of innovative techniques.
The only knocks I have is that the book is too short (maybe there will be an expanded edition sometime in the future) and that it’s available only in paperback.
Rating: 4 / 5
I enjoyed reading this book. It is not a stand alone resource as many of these books are instruction manuals. It is more of an expression of opinion and observation, which I found refreshing. I think that some of the material was well detailed, including presentation and reading currents in different environments. Being an amature tyer, I was hoping for more visual instruction for some of the well know and productive flies.
