Tips on Fishing Deep Diving Rapalas?

I usually fish the floating rapals but I am going to a deep river in about a month that has walleye, lm/sm bass, pike, rainbow, brook, and brown trout and others…have any tips…the water is probably 15-20 feet deep.

i use x-raps and husky jerks…i throw it out and retrieve it slowly and steadily…you can pause your retrieve and the the lure works itself

the diffreance betweenb the top water /and the diving is that the ill on the diving one should be bigger, but the way to use a rapala for walleye is fast and quick jurks on the lur, lm/sm bass will bite a rapala on the top or diving, and trout will not bite them, im not sayoing never but there is a possibilyity that they will…hope it helps

First thing you want to do is buy some good quality o-rings for your lure. Make sure to fan cast the appropraite area and remember to change your retrieve every 10 mins. The best way i found is slow retreive with spontaneous jerks and releases.

For bass using deep divers try and keep the retrieve a little slower than normal and add a few pauses and twitches. Use darker colors, baby bass is a favorite of mine.
