    Isn’t this called the Updated Fishing Knot? I’ve been using it for about a year. Never have lost a fish on it.

    Hey roger! love your vids!

    One Suggestion. you should try looping the line through the hook eye twice instead of just once before you spin it around.

    I do this, and believe it or not i was fishing some rocks with a jig and hooked a bass, i bring it up and release it. I check my jig and knot as i always do before re casting, come to find out one of the loops was broken (assuming it snagged a rock) but luckily i double looped it, so the second loop held strong and i didnt lose the fish.

    @TheWoefman You could tie a fly with this knot you just change how you tie the knot.
    If you look in the video I tie the knot with my line horizontal and the bait spins vertical. Another way to tie the knot I would hold the line vertical (my right hand high). Now instead of spinning the lure I rotate the left hand around the bait. I will do a video response to show you later. Then you run the tag end thru the loop and cinch? the knot.

    No it is NOT a Clinch knot. But it is the easiest and fastest knot there is. But more important is it the fact that it is a VERY STRONG knot!

  • Chai07:

    great knot, but isn’t that a clinch knot? great vid Roger

    Great knot! thanks!

    @TheWoefman
    When I tie a worm hook i just make the line longer from my lower hand to the hook so the is easier to tie. Good question!
    Roger

  • TheWoefman:

    Love your Videos Roger, I wish you had a Fishing show as well.
    Question on Light Baits Using this knot do you have trouble spinning the lure to make the knot? Such as say a Worm Hook ?

    That is the only knot I have ever used. My dad taught it to me when I started to go fishing. I have never lost a fish because of the knot. That is a great knot an very easy to do.
