  • Josh:

The best fly to catch both would be a black Wooly Bugger. Followed bu a Clouser Minnow or a Bunny Leach.

A nymph is the aquatic juvenile stage of an insect’s life. May flies, stone flies, caddis flies, dragon flies, and damsel flies are some examples of nymphs fly tiers imitate.

10 Black Woolly Bugger. – The Cheeseburger of the fishing.

I’ve caught Bass and Bluegill in lakes with it this summer.
I’ve caught Trout in rivers with it this summer.

I keep 4 or 5 of them in different sizes and colors in by fly box.

Nymphs are ‘wet flies’. They represent the fly stag before they hatch on the water surface. Trout love to eat these also. Get a hatch chart for you local area or ask around and see which are the best to use.
