What should i use for heavy cover?

I know that i could use a plastic worm and just rig it weedless but what else and if you have tips for fishing heavy cover that would help
- most of the cover is weed beds
-I fish from the bank
- a little past the weed beds is clear water but it’s too far the whole outside of the lake is covered with weed beds
- the is a part of the lake where the round lakes meat together kind of like two small ponds conneced but they are bigger
- i’m fishing for bass

    Try weedless frogs and tubes.
Frogs are my top choice for all heavy cover.

When the stuff gets thick I go to a Yum dinger, Zoom trick worm,Zoom speed worm (paddle tail type. And I fish them all weightless. That is the key to fishing the heavy stuff. A plastic with a weight will hang up too often to be effective. The weightless plastics rigged Texas style is the best weed bait and grass bait on the market.

there are a few lures that are ideal for these situations. top of the list is a soft plastic frog, of which there are many. some better than others.
a “norman” weedwalker is another good one and a johnson silver minnow is fairly weedless for a metal spoon.
use something that will make a lot of commotion on the grass. that is where the fish are.

I’d go with a weedless floating frog (Spro, Scumfrog, etc>) a weedless buzz frog (Ribbit, Rage Toad, etc.) and a Silver Minnow. I’ve had good luck with a Silver Minnow tipped with a Zoom Ultra Vibe Craw.
