go to a bait shop if you can,and find out from hanging aroung the place and seeing what most of the other fisherman get, that’s usually a good gauge of what they’re hitting and you could ask some more knowledgable old duffer how to get them, most will show you if you want to tag along,(they’ll show you where to go too!)If you approach the right individual, with the right demeanor, you will find it very beneficial in terms of knowledge gained from their experience.

BAIT: Squid, Mullet and Shrimp are always good for catching fish.

Technique: Just starting out, or for that matter, anytime, a bottom rig. You can find these at any Wal-Mart, K-Mart or any Bait Shop. Saltwater fish are more of a bottom feeder type, not so much as suspended bait.

It looks like twisted wire that has a swivel clip on one end and two places to attach leadered hooks.

This should get you some good action. Good luck.

Night crawlers, they work in all applications of fishing, saltwater or fresh water. You just cant go wrong with a night crawler!
