Winter bass fishing!?
I live in CT. and we had a 45 degree day yesterday. i was fishing in a decent size pond that had finally defrosted. the bite was okay from the largemouth but it was mostly chain pickrel. So im going fishing tommorow and its going to be around 38 degrees but it is going to feel like 32. so any tips on how i can get a good bite even in the very cold weather!?! and the pond is not very deep maybe the deepest part is 5 feet! so what lure and tactic should i try?!?!?!

Try slow-fishing soft-plastics such as worms, and jerk baits. Try minnow type colors, and fished deep, in cover. Motor oil, black, purple, any dark color will do.
Hope i helped ya out.
I agree with CS.
In very cold water, that has very little depth, I’d begin fishing exceedingly slow and use small jigs and soft plastic’s.
Here are some basic soft plastic’s I like for “cold water Bass fishing”:

Rigged with an 1/8-1/4OZ black-headed jig the above can be very productive.

Rigged Texas style with a 2/0 skip-gap hook the above can be very productive, (Skip gap hook? http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_90007____SearchResults ) “Camo” is an excellent clear-water color to try.
Why use smaller, thinner baits in colder weather?
Bass are cold blooded creatures and don’t usually want heavy “meals” in colder water because it takes more energy to digest a big “dinner” than many smaller ones.
I would use jigs, spinnerbaits, and other reatction baits i find that these are best in bad weather. Good LUCK!!!
PLastic worms, lizards and a shaky head rig would probably work fine
