Bass fishing as a career?

I want to become a bass pro when I grow up. I need to know how to get a head start, also what classes in school would help me? If I do some kiddie tournaments, do I need a boat? (I’m only 13)

If you can actually be productive fishing for them, you can hang out at these tournaments when they come to your area and once in a while hook up with someone who needs a partner and get in that way, or if you have a mentor father, uncle or someone with a boat and enter a tournament with them and just be around the circuit and get some experience that way with how it all works.

It’s great to have a dream. Nothing will prepare you more then experience itself. Start out fishing in tournaments as a hobby first because it will be many years before you will get to where you can make a living fishing if ever. But who knows? You may be the next great one. Good luck!
