if you are asking this question, you must be a redneck

  • Slim:

Y is it that all of you people think because we like to fish and do every thing the old fasioned way we are rednecks. Yes I am a Redneck, and proud of it, but i take offence to your city slicker ways and your ignorance to what a Redneck is. Jeff Foxworthy just makes fun of rednecks but most of his redneck jokes are taken from hillbilly jokes…. and yes their is a differance between a hillbilly and a redneck.

Now as far as how to spool a baitcasting real from scratch:
go to this sight for all your answers http://www.fishingreelsguide.com/modern_baitcasting.htm

put the line through the thing that go,s back and forth when you turn the handle tie it to the spool and start turning the handle dang even us red necks know that Take it back to the pro shop and have them put the line on for you the machine that they use does a good job

Thread line through line guide and tie to spool, I use a square knot. Fill spool to around 1/4″ from the top. Put a pencil through the package spool and hold it so the top spins away from the person holding holding it. Keep tension on the line as you wind it on to your reel so it is tight. Remember, the line has to come off of the package spool the way it is going to go on the reel. If you have any questions, take it to your local tackle shop, they will be glad to help. Good Luck!
