how do u hook a plactic lizard and a worm and make it weed less i want to try to fish with more lures this yrs

and what kind of hook do i need and how do i know if a lures is small enough inspecial if i am buying one off bass pro. com like i got a lure (Bomber) and its a crank bait 4-6 feet deep, meausure 1-1and half inch with the bill ( please help) novice fisherman from NJ

This would be much easier to show someone. I recommend hooking up with a local fishing shed type place near a well fished lake.
I prefer the MisterTwister Keeper Hooks (sz. 5/0) and a 10″ Black Berkeley Worm. (Looking at the hook itself is explanatory.)just rotate the worm so that the curl points up wards with the curve of the hookshank on the bottom.
P.S> Hang onto your rod when you bounce it off of a stump, pier, etc. If there is no detectable strike, then tease the bass into striking by twitching the rod tip only a couple of inches at a time, and slowly (really, dead slow) crank up the slack. Practice patience1st, finesse 2nd.

take hook about half inch down through top insert hook into middle of worm
atexx2 showed it perfectly. touche! =)hahaha yeah just follow his lead and you’ll be snag free the second you hit the water. just make sure you wait longer till you set the hook, it will take a few seconds for the hook to protrude through the worm or lizzard or whatever. good luck man!
