If you had to take the yahoo fishing pros fishing where would you take them and what would you be targeting?
I would take put on a hat with a pigeons tail and flyfish for trout on PA river with pheasants tail. If it was FishSteelhead I would buy a bottle of fresh salmon roe and with panther martins fish for steelheads on a CA river. If gimmaname asked me to fish I would catch alligators with him and fish for tarpon afterwards. If I had to make a detour along the way in OK I would invite basspro along and fish for bass with them okie girls. If golden feather asked me to fish I would hunt some elk and then go fishing for trout in the wilderness. If Mr.Secretary of Defense asked me to fish I would fish for some walleye in the middle of winter on top of a frozen lake. If Charles Sloan asked me to fish I would make a trip to the flats and catch some shark then fish the lunker bass in his state.
I know there are more, but I dont have enough time to figure out their names

Id take them fishing for the lochness monster. Surely between all of our combined fishing knowledge and some teamwork, we’d be able to hook it, land it, wrestle it, clean it and then after wards have a big fish fry and have some beer.
Thanks for including me!!! Never caught a shark, but would love it!!! And the bass are pretty big in the state!!!
Gonefishing, i would take him for some Carp in Europe … I would fish for bass with Bassplayer in CA (Or is it FL where you live?) I would like to go a bassin’ also, with Fisher_King … And i would like to go for trout with Pheaseant Tail … I forgot a lot, but there’s so many good fisherman on here!!!
But, by no means i am not a pro, i just no my fishing … I would take FishSteelhead a flyfishin’ for smallies in around his area
Thanks for including me!!
Hope i helped ya out.
Fishing with Crocs, can it get any better? Yeah! I would show you a spot that seems like endless miles of mangroves across the bay, a view of Miami, Miami Beach and the Keys all at the same time. Manatees, Sea Turtles, Crocs and Gators swimming the same water. Hawks diving down on mullet, Land crabs in neon colors and the waters so clear that you’d think it was filtered. It’s not fishing with me, it’s an experience.
Where I fish, it’s known for it’s monster Snook, Sea Trout and Mangrove Snapper. That’s what we’ll target unless you want to walk a few yards down the road and go for the exotics like Peacock bass, Mayans and Tilapia. ~good luck catchin.’
I would take them to the Chilkat River in Alaska in the fall when there are sockeye, Coho, Chum salmon and steel head running in the river. Be easy for me it’s where I live! Fishsteelhead knows the area. Then we could go out in the Lynn Canal and fish for halibut, ling cod, flounder and troll for king salmon. Pull some crab and shrimp pots and have a feast!
I would find a huge boat and take all of you guys fishing with me for whatever you wanted wherever you wanted and just have a blast learning new things a long the way. Thanks to all of you for your answers to the questions it has been very helpful.
Probably take who ever wanted to go to Ky. & Barkley Lakes, better known as Land Between the Lakes. Great Bass Fishing for both LG, & SM. Lake also has about any other fresh water fish you can think of except trout. If in the fall, winter or early spring (until end of May) would take to Dale Hollow Lake, where the min. length for a keeper SM is 21″.
The lake has a slot limit of 18 -21″ has to be released and is managed for trophy Small Mouth. Lake also has walleye, muskie and lake trout.
Other than that about any inland lake in the USA would not be off limits.
Who knows with my past experience as a big game guide, a horse back trip into the wilderness of Wyoming, Idaho, or Montana would not be out of the question either. Some great fly fishing back in the mountains where few venture.
Firstly I would find Exert-7, make him put down his casting rod and take him on a camping / fly fishing trip for native brook trout.
I’d also find Brandon and take him as well, since he could no doubt
carry all the gear for us.
Next, I’d hook up with Fisher King and Chimp Dancer and ask them to
take me for Snook on a fly rod. Of course, I wouldn’t mind catching
sea trout, and other species as well. If I were on the West Coast, I’d ask Artie to take me
If Golden Feather would take me for Smallies, I’d love to go. If he ever wants to wet wade the Susky for Smallies, I’d happily oblige
I know I’ll get to Ohio one day and fish Steelies with Kevin B.
If I ever get west, I’ll bring an extra fly rod for Fish Steelhead,
and maybe Dan B could take me to Alaska for monster Rainbows.
Airflow……I’d love to take you on a boat with me. We both put down
our beloved “long rods” for the day and fish for crappie and perch.
After Airflow and I catch a “mess of fish” – you’d all be invited for the
best d*mn fish fry you ever had (Bass Ale to wash it down, of course)
That leaves me to you…..I’d take you to Maine for Landlocks and
Brook trout, and after the day we’d celebrate with a fine cognac and a good cigar. Send me a PM for more details.
If I missed anyone….my most sincere apologies.
“friendly fishing competition-fly rod only of course.” – of course !!
honestly, i would take them to a little river about 40 miles from my house and dare them to catch any fish at all.
What a great question! pheasant tail- i like your idea, although the bass ale sounds even better! lol, either that or replace it with a fine Cognac suggested, may i suggest Remy Martin XO? i would like to take FSH for some wild brook trout on a fly rod of course-maybe a welcome change from the steelies? finally pheasant tail for brook trout and maybe even grayling? a friendly fishing competition-fly rod only of course.
Steelhead fishin’ for/with ALL
… Now when it comes for someone takin’ me, I’d HAVE ta’ go with Ed aka Golden Feather ~ I mean who in their right mind would pass up a’ trip on that 2009er’ Phoenix Pro XP Bass Boat he just landed, crusin’ Dale Hollow for Smallmouths;)… < ' ( (( > < Note: Thumbs Up to all and if Ya’he_ _ would permit it I’d give 5 ta’ redcore
…
LOL, very funny! If I had some “big wigs” I needed to impress with my fish catching savvy I would first take them to a 6 acre pond that is full of pre spawn northern pike right now. That would first and foremost depend on the safety of the ice as it is a spring fed pond with open water along one shore a good part of the winter. It is almost a guaranteed deal for 5 to 10 lb. pike right now but could easily be fished out if too many people knew about it or had the knowledge of where the good and bad areas of ice are out there. It’s only one mile from my house. Then I would take them over to Long Lake in the late afternoon/early evening to catch a limit of fat crappie. If it were spring I would take them back to some honey holes for native brook trout after I blind folded and drove them in circles LOL
Wow, I’m a pro?
Hm. Mass fishing trip to the port fishing off my favorite seawall, figure between the bunch of us, there’ll be some snook, snapper, reds, and flounder (Well, either the port or Sebastian Inlet…) big fish fry afterwards of course, and to close out the day everyone who’s got a ‘yak gets to go experience one of my favorite things ever… you can try fishing in the biolum if you want, but I haven’t had any luck with it yet… just cool watching all the glowing fish.
I would bring you all down to southern california where a salt water specie fights harder pound for pound than any other fish I have had the pleasure to have been able to catch all over the country. It isn’t even a registered fish with the I G F A it is common from Monterrey south into Baja it lives, breeds, feeds and rules the back bays and harbors. The spotted bay bass on four pound test each and every one of you would go nuts if I put you on some of the bigger 4-5 pounders the flat are mad, pi$$ed off creatures that never give up. Someday when any one of you are headed into Orange County I would love to have that opportunity to turn on your entire need to fish. We could even catch them on fly rods as well. Of course the best thing about fishing for them is the fact that halibut get in the way of all the fun and you get a legal or two about every third trip out. (I average 2 legal halibut a month and that goes year round in so cal.)
a huge lake Lake Dardanelle is less than a mile from my house and has some really good bass fishing.
i would like to take some of the bass fishing pros surf fishing and try and catch some big bull drum and stripers.
