is a Shakespeare® Synergy® Ti14 Spincast Rod and Reel Combo a good fishing pole?
i saw it at bass pro shops for 24 dollars. and im reeling in 25-30 pound fish is this a good pole for this job?
im freshwater fishing and the fish type is catfish and carp

From personal exp. I would advise you not to buy it. You get what you pay for in this rod. I bought 2 thinking o.k. cheap price why not. They have both since been broken by hook sets. And for fish of that size I would not recommend Spincast type reels. Are you fishing fresh or salt water? What type of fish is it? Type of fishing you are doing. If you elaborate a little more I can give you a better answer.
Abu Garcia Ambassador Red 6600CB is a great rod for that. Thats what I would use personally. Or if you don’t want to spend the $$$ and you are just sittin your baits at the bottom you could go with a one piece Shakespere ugly stick. You won’t have the sensitivity of the Garcia, but you won’t have to put a dent in your wallet either.
25-30 lb., be a pretty “healthy” fish ~ don’t know if I’d want to invest in this particular rod (viewed it on Bass Pro site) for that size. Line that it comes with be 14 # but again the lb., fish your lookin’ at, just may be a little to much for the riggin’ itself.

Note: You may want to add some “Additional Details” at the bottom of your post as, Adam made mention of ie., species of fish, etc.. This riggin’ is for Feshwater so, I’m assumin’ that’s what you’ll be fishin’?
You say that you are REELING in 25-30# fish ?
If you are doing that, you should be able to look at the combo you described & tell, if it will work for that size of fish.
I would be inclined to think that you are spinning a yarn about the size fish that you are REELING in.
