Jon boats 13 foot up to 1000$ max?

my friend brother and I wanna start fishing in a jon boat and we are only 14 and 15 we are gonna work until we have enough money to buy a jon boat we went on bass pro but they are too much we need one with a live well but we havent found anything yet please help us.

Try craigslist or ebay!
Look on http://www.craigslist.com. They are always available for good prices. Craigslist is a free online classified posting site. People post by city & state. I use it a lot. We just got some kayaks at really great prices.
Craig’s list is where I would look for a ready made, the live well you can add your self or you can use a mesh laundry bag and hang it over the side. When I was your age, I made my boat out of plywood and pine that I got from housing scraps. Worked out well until I went into the Navy, my little brother left it out and the cows stepped all over it.
Draw out the boat you want, calculate how much wood, and price it out at the lumber store. Don’t forget the screws and paint and caulking you will need. then if you run across a boat for sale, you will know if it is a good deal, or build your own, and you can do this while you earn the money for the boat. I included a couple of sites for hand made boats that will give you some ideas. Don’t forget you may have to register it if you plan on going on public waters.

if you need to do it on the cheap..do what i did. a cooler can work fine as a live well. check out boating/ fishing accessory’s.i took a 10′ j/boat when i was your age and put carpet in it, etc… use your Imagination. get a aerator for the cooler..cheap and easy. will tell you all tricks, and such i know.
