really hillbillish question!! :D?
Okay, Your gonna think im really southern… (which i am.. southern alabama) .. but i LOVE the bass pro shop..For a female anyways. Im getting married next year and would love to have it in the bass pro shop… ( In Prattville, Al)… My Fiancee is a REALLY big deer hunter and i know he would love it. It has a Big ole fish tank with like a 50 lb catfish in it. : ) Do you think they would let us get married there? : )

You want to get married in a Bass Pro Shop??? Your husband is a very lucky man. I’m going to say no they won’t let you get married in there, but you never know. If they did allow it I would Imagine the store would still be open so your wedding may have more “guests” than you would like. The best thing would be to give them a call and maybe you can work something out. Maybe have the wedding after store hours or something. Congratulations and Good Luck.
Edit: I just read an article about a few people getting hitched at Wal-mart. You may just be able to pull it off after all. lol
Awesome…I hope it works out.
You want a really dumb question? Where are you registered?
HAHAHAHAHA!
GoodLuck!
i love bass pro shops to and im a woman! yey!
ours has a big tank to with grouper and everything!
all you can do is ask if you can
i dont see why not
i love how they have all the deer and hog everywhere
ours has an archery range with a big tiger
good luck and
congrats
its ok to be southern
I think you should ask. You may be surprised at the answer. I think they would go for it and maybe even help you out with the wedding arrangement camouflage for you and your hubby and maybe even a deer feeder for you to stand under instead of one of them flowery arches. What publicity they would get.
I think this is a great Idea . I wish my wife would have wanted that kind of wedding . I think they would and it might help to call the my hillbilly wedding show that air es on CMT .They may be able to help in motivating the store into letting you do it just for the publicity. I hope it works out .
Good for you, the only way to find out is contact bass pro, I’m sure your fiancee would love it. Don’t let what other people think stop you!

I think you’re more of a hick than a hillbilly, but if you keep trying – well, you never know.
Either way – congratulations and by all means keep this post updated. Please.
P.S. – If there ain’t any “No Trespassing” signs posted, well…
Not only do you need to talk to the manager at that specific Bass Pro, you need to talk to the minister or whoever will be performing the rites. Some have strict rules about where they will and will not marry someone.
I am very familiar with south alabama, and the biggest hills yall have there are fire ant beds so it ain’t a hillbillish question.
I don’t see why they wouldn’t allow it, however, you might want to check out the basspro in atlanta, it is rather bigger than most of the others I have been in. Good luck, and if fishing is what yall want to do on your honeymoon, might I suggest Cabo San Lucas Mexico, you can spend a week there, along with airfare for about the same it would cost you to drive to florida or gatlingburg and stay somewhere decent for a week and the charters are real cheap, a bertram 31 typically runs 350 usd a day and you will catch fish.
you need to contact Jeff Foxworthy. He would be the one to hook you up and probably get the wedding on TV as well. I would contact the main office for Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, MO. They might go for it, just for the publicity involved. Good Luck Fellow Redneck
check with the manager what a heck of an idea
Heck yeah they would…just talk to the manager. That sounds awesome!!!
Oh and what’s wrong with being southern??
It never hurts to ask and I’m sure they will let you. Publicity wise and all, it’s a great public relations deal.
You can ask them here: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CFPage?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&appID=243&navid=customerservice&cmid=BN_IN_CUSTSERV
Don’t expect them to shut the store down for you and they may have a time limit you have to abide by. Make sure you put all the newest gear you guys want on the gift registry…doesn’t hurt right? Give ‘em a try, be serious about it and let ‘em know why you want to get married there. I’m sure they’ll let ya. Good luck with all that.
I JUST saw a story on our local news (WAFB/Baton Rouge) about a couple getting married at Bass Pro Shops in Denham Springs (that’s how I found this post…I was looking for the video online). They sat on a deer stand and exchanged vows. She even said something like “I’ll alway be your river rat”.
I don’t know if these people won a contest or what, but yes, they got married at Bass Pro Shops.
