Seniors, where are you buying your spring wardrobe?
I just got home from Bass Pro Shops and thought about how nice it was to see so many older people there buying new clothes and fishing gear. Retirement is going well for some of us! It is good to see that people are putting their leisure time to good use and not just sitting home.

I bought my spring wardrobe on sale last summer at Talbot’s. I just unpacked them from their bags and cut off the tags. Can’t wait to wear my new duds!
I think the last time that I bought a “new” spring wardrobe was in 1980! Not that I am complainingly ….. I hate to shop and anyways …. these are all worn in and still fit! thank goodness! lol
What I get is probably Wall mart or good will –ha ha , but in all seriousness I buy my here and there where ever they have a good sale
Glady’s Closet. It’s a wonderful place to pick up clothes. The prices are right and they have a variety of vintage fashions. Plus, it’s conveniently located too!
Here in the UK you don’t need a different set of clothes
for the seasons. The only difference with our summer is
that the rain is warmer. ( a bit of an exaggeration, but true)
I’m going to “Gladys Closet” to pick out a few things. But….if that doesn’t work out I’ll drop into “Eve’s Closet” and see what’s there. Otherwise my favorite wardrobe for spring is at
“Angela N’ Linda’s Boutique. ( My two daughters. LOL!!!)
My spring wardrobe is folded into a storage drawer. I will take it out if it ever quits snowing. I wear the same clothes until they fall apart. No slave to fashion here. If I could get a new body to put them on, then that would be different.
at the niki outlet shop!!!
I just received an order today from Appleseed’s. I order all of my clothes online. They have quality clothes at reasonable prices. And their clothes are made to fit women, not teens.
I also purchase a lot from the TOG Shop and Drapers and Damon. I ordered some Jeans from Newport News that fit well and I like to shop at Coldwater Creek and Talbot’s. I do love Spring and it puts you in a buying mood. I live in SC. so we can buy many all year round clothes. But, I still like to change with the seasons.
I already have my Spring Wardrobe. I see you were in my sons favorite shop (the Bass Pro Shop). He is a semi-pro fisherman. I always buy his gifts from their. But, I order his things or give him gift certificates. I did not know they sold ladies clothes their?
Retirement suits my husband and just perfectly. We live on a small lake and enjoy just being out in the sunshine. We also have a place at the beach, which is my favorite place to go!
Happy Retirement! There are now a lot of us I noticed!
Walmart
I got some Chaco’s for the summer.
I bought my clothing at the end of the season last year. Sears has some really great mark-down & close-out sales at the end of every season. I have to have 100% cotton clothing at a lowest prices I can find.
I used to buy new clothes for the spring and summer and still do if I need something. I go to Walmart or where ever I can
get what I need at a good price. I do some catalogue shopping because sometimes I can get what just I want and it’s hard to find in the stores.
I might visit Gladys’s closet too. Sounds like she has some good stuff.
Any where that does cords and comfy country clothes. Country Wide type stores and then the Jeans store for cheap denims. It’s comfort more than style now.
I’ve already bought some new spring clothing this year & I’ve had a chance to wear some of them already. We’ve had some beautiful weather here in South Carolina & it feels more like summer than Spring. Today it’s up to 73° already & it’s sunny. (had thunderdunders earlier)
Love to outlet mall shop especially Liz Claiborne. Got few cute things at Macy’s before Easter. Love Bass Pro Shop. We have a small version in our town but always stop at the big one in Springfield when we are down that way.
I just go into my closet and get down last year’s spring clothes. They are still good!
I recycle my old clothes.Rewear and pair up again.I shop at thrift shops and buy only when necessary.Budget is tight for me…
just getting last years out of the wardrobe
Not buying, if I lose 40 pounds I would have to look no farther than my closet.
I have so many clothes, I’ll probably never need to buy any for the rest of my life. My husband just told me the other day he’s going to get me counseling for my “CLOTHES FETISH!! But seriously, the only place I buy clothes is the Goodwill store. I always look for the name brands, and if I shop on Tuesday, I get 30% off!! If I need a particular color to go with something I have, that’s where I’ll go to buy it. I haven’t bought anything “brand new” for a very long time. I do get a lot of compliments on my outfits and people asking me where I bought something. Unlike a lot of people who are ashamed to admit to shopping at the Goodwill store, I tell them where I bought it. I’m proud of the fact that I can get something you would buy at a higher end store at the mall for $100.00 for a couple of dollars at the local Goodwill store.
