What are some good bass lures?
Im new to freshwater fishing, and I’m looking for some good bass lures. I dont want to go bass pro shop and spend $100 dollars on lures because they look cool, so any help i could get would be great, (I’ve been using a shad lure and its been producing a few bass) Im in Texas if that helps.
Thanks everyone, im going to print out the suggested lures and go look for them, and i see alot of people are suggesting spinner baits, and ive been looking at these and have seen many colors and makes, which would be best, and also would i use a slow or fast retrieve, thanks again!

1. Little George.
2. White or yellow Buck tail.
3. Gold or Silver Spoons.
4. Flies.
5. Worms.
I would go with spinner baits or rubber worms and rapala’s.
i would pick up a few spinner baits as well as some rooster tails (in-line spinners). look for some soft plastics such as some worms or flukes
pig and jig is the best lure for big bass black and blue or brown .
When starting out bass fishing you just need a couple lures – Plastic worms, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and top-waters. Just grab one of each and learn how to fish it.

Welcome to the sport of bass fishing!
1. Spinnerbaits- these are great for a reflection type bite when the fishing is slow. My favorite colors are red yellow and white.
2. My next favorite lure is a senko. Senkos are great. They can be rigged many different ways. I love rigging mine wacky style.
3. My third favorite lure is a crankbait. I love the sexy shad color too. This usually catches me big fish not a lot. My biggest fihs on this was a 5 lb 3 oz largemouth.
4. My fourth favorite lure is my spoons. I always through spoons when nothing is biting.
My last favorite lure is the chatterbait. These are great becasue there is so many vibration. Have caught a lot of nice fish on these lures.
I live in oklahoma so it is near texas. Good Luck!!!
Have had excellent luck with olive colored bleeding tube baits ($0.35) and black and white double-tailed grubs . Both on 1/4 ounce redheaded jigs, bounced along the bottom. Also nightcrawlers on slip-bobber rigs if live bait fishing.
